What are bathroom fittings?
If you are in the market for a new bathroom or bathroom improvements, you’ll need to understand the concept of ‘bathroom fittings’. Bathroom fittings are different to bathroom fixtures, and once you understand this it will make it a lot easier to work out how to renovate the room.

Choosing fittings for your bathroom
Once you know what the fittings are in a bathroom, you can then look at the wide choice of fittings available in stores and start making some decisions.
Toilet seats
This is one of the fittings that is most commonly and regularly replaced. The range of toilet seats that are available is huge, so you can spend hours choosing one that has the right design for your toilet.
The main idea that differentiates one toilet seat from another is the closing mechanism. This is one way to change the look and feel of the bathroom. You can choose a toilet seat that has a standard closing mechanism or a soft close mechanism. It all depends on what you want your bathroom to feel like. While soft closing mechanisms used to be expensive, they are not any more, so they are well worth considering.
Shower curtains/screens
These are quite easy to coordinate with the rest of the bathroom, so finding the right curtain or screen should not be a problem.
As a fitting, a shower curtain can make the bathroom your own, allowing you to set your own style and tone. The same goes for shower screens, they can be a little limited in design choices, but again as fittings they can lift a room.
Accessories
This is the biggest area you can gain in when it comes to fittings. From shelving to new cabinets, there are plenty of ways you can use accessories to brighten up the space.
Again, when choosing accessories, remember that you can easily create a look for little cost, and there are so many of these fittings available now that there is a wide choice.
