How much might you expect to pay to have your new kitchen fitted?

Kitchen fitting costs

Ofen, when buying a kitchen from one of the major retailers, the cost of having it fitted in your home is given as an option and included in the overall price, or at least will be stated clearly when you make the purchase. Generally, the cost for fitting will be based on sizing (the number of units) and the style of kitchen you choose. Prices may also vary based on your location.

Prices for getting bespoke kitchens fitted

If you are buying a vintage kitchen, or having a bespoke one specially made for you, expect to pay extra for fitting which may involve custom workmanship.  Since a bespoke kitchen can cost anywhere up to £40,000 to have built, naturally the cost for fitting is going to be considerably higher than the fitting cost for a standard off the shelf product.

Cost of getting your own kitchen installed

You can of course, choose to only buy the kitchen units and appliances themselves and organise your own fitting.

Always make sure that the person you approach to fit your new kitchen is skilled and has lots of relevant experience – ask for references from previous happy customers. Expect to pay around £1500 to have a small kitchen installed, up to £3000 for a much larger kitchen or one which requires specialist skills for installation. This price is for the building work, electrics, plumbing and plastering – other items such as decoration, flooring and a new kitchen are going to cost more.

The installation of electrics and 'Part P' compliance updates may vary in price due to a high number of variables involved.
